Hi Katy, I haven’t had them not release after a day, so I can’t say for sure, but I would probably try spraying a little nonstick spray on my hands and gently trying to work it around/under where the balloons are attached to the gelatin, basically trying to gently peel the balloon back and get the oil/nonstick spray under there to help release.

This was trickier than I thought. The 12 sheets weren’t enough for 2 dips and it makes such little liquid you can’t really dip the balloon more rolls around and the sides get of container get sticky fast making it super hard to get the balloons coated. But the real problem I’m having is I popped the balloons 24 hours ago and they are all still opened up and attached to the gelatin. Not sure how to get them off the gelatin. Yes I did put oil on them but very little you made me afraid to put too much. How can I get the balloons off the gelatin?

Tried something similar to this a couple of years ago. Used a gingerbread (house type recipe) for a base to make a snow globe. Time consuming but fun.

Hi Debra! You can add a bit of extract – unfortunately, the gelatin is not sweet on its own, so while it would have a slight minty taste, IMO it still wouldn’t be super pleasant to munch on. You could add the extract to the water you use to rehydrate the gelatin and I think that would work to infuse the flavor. Let us know if you give it a try!

I’m not sure how you would add it exactly, maybe just put some extract on your finger and dot the bubbles.
