I’m not sure what I expected but it wasn’t a chocolate cake so when I see the cut cake and its chocolate it’s a nice surprise. I’ve seen a LOT of Christmas cakes over the past years and SO many are basically the same thing. This was a pleasant surprise for a more “basic” cake. I always like a cake even more when it can be adapted for multiple events. Take the identical cake, change colors, probably flavors (peppermint is usually considered Christmas) to anyone of a 100 others, and it can be used for a birthday (say in pink or purple) or green for St. Patrick’s Day, Silver or Gold for Anniversary. Use the red but a cherry or raspberry flavor for Valentine’s Day. A pastel color and coconut flavor for Easter. If you have a great design, which this is….it will see you through numerous events. This is a keeper.
