In reply to Ami. Hi Ami! Yes, I think that would work. Nutella is a little softer/stickier so it's possible the decorating process might be a bit more challenging, but I don't think it would harm the overall outcome. Store-bought chocolate frosting in a can would also be an easy option. Happy holidays, and please let me know how they turn out for you!

We are oven-less (and actually kitchen-less; doing a full renovation) this Xmas so I’m interested in trying this recipe. Could I use Nutella in place of the ganache to make my life easier?

I wouldn’t turn one of these down any time of the year! Love this simpler variation–the idea of using wafer cookies sounds perfect! Especially with raspberry frosting, mmmm 🙂
